Life moves through us by how we move through our Body.
Through Tai Chi, we connect with the flow of Life.
Rather than moving, we are moved. Once connected to this flow, healing is greatly enhanced, dis-ease dissolves, balance, calmness, and harmony, easily return. Through Tai Chi we learn to move with an “empty” mind, allowing us to experience a continual arrival of the wonders and insights of life.

What You'll be Learning
Tai Chi - The Ten Essentials
Saturdays- 10am- 11am
Learning the Ten Essentials of Chi (or "Ten Essentials of Tai Chi") as articulated by Grandmaster Yang Chengfu, one of the most influential figures in the history of Tai Chi Chuan, offers profound benefits on multiple levels—physical, energetic, mental, and even spiritual.
These essentials provide a practical roadmap for refining internal energy, enhancing flow and storage in the body. They teach how to use relaxation and intention rather than brute force, allowing energy to circulate smoothly. They train one to feel internal states and subtle energy, cultivating body-mind integration-an awareness is critical for progress in internal arts, healing, and meditative practices.
Emphasizing upright spine, sunken chest, and relaxed shoulders aligns the skeletal system, promoting efficient energy transmission and reducing tension. Proper structure supports better health, spinal integrity, and movement efficiency.
Following the essentials requires mental presence , intention, and emotional regulation. Over time, this leads to greater mental clarity, emotional stability, and stress reduction.
By harmonizing body and mind, and promoting the free flow of chi, these principles reduce stagnation (a root of disease in Chinese medicine). Breath, movement, and awareness work together to nurture the body’s natural healing intelligence.
Whether beginner or advanced, the Ten Essentials give structure and guidance. They help identify common mistakes and correct them at the root, making progress smoother and deeper.

The Essentials you will learn-

Tai Chi - The Short Form
Saturdays- 11am- 12pm
The inner structure taught to me by Master Mantak Chia of Tai Chi explores the deep, internal work necessary for the effective practice of Tai Chi by first mastering the 13 movements of early Yang-style tai chi, also known as Tai Chi Chi Kung.
Through this short 13 movement form I learned from Master Mantak Chia, we learn to absorb, transform, and circulate the three forces that animate all life- the Universal or Cosmic force, the forces of Nature of our planet, and the force of Earth of gravity. These principles access the full spectrum of our physical, psychological, and individual awareness of our spirituality.

The Movements you will learn-

Tai Chi - The Long Form
Saturdays- 12am- 1pm
At it's roots, Tai Chi is a Martial Art, but compared to other martial arts Tai Chi involves moving slowly and softly and evenly at a constant pace. Energy is stored within one self and the movements resulting in a multifunctional exercise, for health, longevity, molding one's character and building better relationships.
Master Yang Zhenduo and his grandson, Master Yang Jun, are the fourth and sixth-generation lineage holders of the modern version of Yang-style Tai Chi, a tradition passed down from Yang Chengfu. Yang Zhenduo dedicated his life to preserving and spreading this refined, expansive form, emphasizing its smooth, continuous movement and health benefits. Following in his grandfather’s footsteps, Yang Jun has carried the family legacy into the modern era, teaching worldwide and leading the International Yang Family Tai Chi Chuan Association to ensure the continued growth and authenticity of Yang-style Tai Chi for future generations.
